At Merit Ford, supporting the community we call home is an important part of what we do. This September, we were proud to take part in Ford’s Load Up for Common Good campaign in support of the Carlyle & District Food Bank.
The goal was simple: fill a Ford Transit van with food donations to help local individuals and families in need.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, customers, staff, and local supporters, donations quickly began filling the Transit as everyone came together for a great cause.
Gordon F. Kells Joins the Challenge
We were also excited to have students from Gordon F. Kells High School get involved.
To make the food drive a little more fun, Merit Ford challenged the participating classes to see who could collect the most donations. The winning class would receive a pizza lunch courtesy of Merit Ford.
The response from the students was fantastic, and after the donations were counted, Mr. Callfas’s class came out on top!
Congratulations to Mr. Callfas and his students, and thank you to everyone at Gordon F. Kells who contributed. Every donation helped make a difference.
Coming Together for Carlyle
Initiatives like this are a great reminder of what can happen when local businesses, schools, and community members work together.
All of the food collected through the campaign is being donated to the Carlyle & District Food Bank, helping support its important work within our community.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who donated, participated, shared the campaign, or helped spread the word. We couldn’t have filled the Transit without you.
And congratulations again to Mr. Callfas’s class — we hope you enjoy your well-earned pizza lunch!
From everyone at Merit Ford, thank you for helping us Load Up for Common Good and give back to the Carlyle community.
Have an idea for how Merit Ford can get involved in the community next?
